North and South Korean Olympic athletes are uniting — to take selfies

The next time you’re thinking of mocking people who take selfies, think of this moment.

As North and South Koreans join forces to compete in the Pyeongchang Olympics, the players have shared locker rooms and practice space. So far it looks like things have run smoothly for the divided nations — if the selfies are any indication.

First, the entire unified Korean team snapped a picture, although only five of them were actually looking at the camera (classic). The athletes are wearing blue and white, the colors of the Korean unification flag.

Then, figure skaters Kam Alex Kang Chan, of South Korea, and North’s Kim Ju Sik took a locker room selfie while waiting to practice on the ice.

The Olympics are made for feel good stories like this one.
