Mark Hamill is very much alive and if you’ve heard anything about his deatheven from his official Twitter accountthen you’ve been duped by some fake news.

The Star Wars actor poked fun at a tweet that claimed Hamill had passed away, and shared his sentiments for, well, himself with some apt hashtags.

A fake Huffington Post twitter account broke the fake news with a simple tweet and image of a young Luke Skywalker. “Mark Hamill actor who played Luke Skywalker dies at 65,” the tweet read.

A very much alive Hamill took the opportunity to trick us all when he retweeted the “announcement.”

“MUCH OF NATION MOURNS- RIP…a wonderful-underrated and beloved icon. Truly a legend in his own mind,” Hamill wrote, before adding “#SoGladIGotToMeetHim #KindaSad” as hashtags.

His tweet elicited some hilarious reactions from fans, some who believed him.

As for the fans that prematurely began mourning the legendlet’s all take a collective deep breath and celebrate his life instead.
