Live TV interview gets derailed by bizarrely awkward man

Oh how we love an awkward TV blunder.

In the aftermath of BBC Dad, a clip of another gloriously awkward TV blunder has resurfaced and gone viral over the weekend. And, this time it involves a man’s excruciatingly awkward exit mid-interview.

In the 2016 interview, pundit Luke Harvey was interviewed by BBC Breakfast at horse racing event, the Grand National. But, it didn’t quite go as smoothly as he might have hoped.

In the video, Harvey gradually edges his way out of shot, disappearing out of sight. Moments later, the camera pans across to reveal the glorious sight of Harvey sprinting away.

So, what did happen?

According to the Evening Standard, Harvey realised on-air that he was supposed to be on Radio 5 Live. Realising he needed to get to his next interview sharpish, Harvey made a speedy and highly awkward exit from his BBC Breakfast interview.

Smoothly done!

UPDATE: April 10, 2017, 11:46 a.m. BST Clarified the date of the original tweet.
